Police seize 2,500 bottles of fake beer in Uspensky District bust
Traffic police in Uspensky District have seized a large shipment of counterfeit beer during a routine check. Officers stopped a GAZ cargo van carrying over 2,500 bottles of unregistered alcohol. The driver, a 45-year-old resident of Armavir, now faces legal consequences.
The incident took place when officers halted the van on a route between Armavir and Stavropol. Inside, they discovered 2,520 bottles—equivalent to 1,260 litres of beer. Further checks revealed the alcohol was not listed in the state’s tracking system, confirming it as counterfeit.
The seized beer will remain in police custody as part of the ongoing investigation. The owner now faces penalties under administrative law for selling unregistered alcohol. Officials continue to monitor similar cases to prevent further illegal shipments.
