Police seize €1M in drugs after busting two young suspects in Nottuln
Police have seized large quantities of drugs in a recent operation targeting two men in the Nottuln area. The suspects, aged 23 and 21, were detained on March 8th after officers uncovered significant amounts of cocaine and marijuana. The estimated street value of the confiscated substances exceeds one million euros.
The investigation began when authorities searched the home of the younger suspect, born in 2002. There, they found and confiscated around 11 kilograms of cocaine and three kilograms of marijuana. A second search at the apartment of the other man, born in 2000, yielded 10 grammes of cocaine and 20 grammes of marijuana.
Both men had no prior police record before their arrest. On March 10th, prosecutors requested that the suspects be held in custody, but the court rejected the application. Instead, non-custodial security measures were imposed on the two individuals.
While the case involves multiple people, official reports do not specify additional arrests or charges. Earlier operations in the region had targeted drug networks, including one in Bamberg-Munich where 85 kilograms of narcotics were seized and another in Ahaus-Gronau where 25 kilograms were confiscated. Four arrest warrants were executed in connection with those cases, but the exact roles of those involved remain unclear.
The two suspects remain under investigation but are not currently in detention. Authorities continue to examine their alleged involvement in the local drug trade. The seized substances, valued at around one million euros, have been taken off the streets as part of the ongoing crackdown.
