Police shut down illegal Mainz-Kastel street race overnight
Police in Mainz-Kastel broke up an illegal street race in the early hours of Monday. A witness reported two Audi cars speeding along Lorenz-Schott-Straße just before midnight. Officers quickly intervened and stopped the vehicles on Peter-Sander-Straße.
The incident began around 11:40 p.m. on Sunday The confiscated vehicles and phones remain in police custody. The seized cash and ongoing investigation suggest further legal consequences for those involved. Authorities have not yet released additional details about the case.
