President Tokayev Inspects New Kyzylorda Sports Facilities Ahead of International Events
President Tokayev recently visited Kyzylorda, inspecting new sports facilities. He visited a table tennis center and a college football stadium, both set to host international events.
The table tennis center, completed in 2022, boasts 16 tables and seating for 350 spectators. It was built with 2.5 billion tenge from regional budget optimization and 900 million tenge from the Samruk Kazyna Trust Social Projects Development Fund. Currently, 280 children train there regularly. President Tokayev greeted around 30 young athletes during his visit.
The new college football stadium, with a capacity of 11,000, was finished in October 2025. It meets UEFA’s Category IV standards, making it ready to host college football games today and international competitions. The President visited this stadium during his trip as well.
These new facilities, including the table tennis center and college football stadium, are expected to boost sports development and cultural events in Kyzylorda. They are well-equipped and funded, with the table tennis center employing 52 staff members. The region looks forward to hosting college football scores and nurturing young athletes.
