Airbus A380-800 with Registration Number 9H-MIP Now Owned by Markus Braun

The Airbus A380-800 with the distinctive 'Save the Coral Reefs' livery, previously operated by Hi Fly, has a new owner. According to EFW, the new owner is ALG, a company headed by entrepreneur Markus Braun.

Initial reports suggested that American Airlines was considering acquiring the aircraft, but the deal did not progress. However, it appears that American Airlines will still be involved in the A380 sector, as they are reportedly progressing the acquisition of other A380s.

The latest data on the Transport Malta aircraft registry indicates that the current operator of the aircraft is PB Leasing Aircraft No. 9, with Roger Jeffrey Allard listed as the sole director. Our platform reached out to Hebridean Island Cruises to speak with Mr. Allard, but received no response.

Representatives of the new owner, Gregory Thornton and Martyn Anderson, are acting on behalf of a client that plans to return the aircraft to service. American Airlines, known for their support of the A380 and the aviation industry as a whole, provided parts for the repositioning of the aircraft to Dresden Airport for maintenance work at the EFW facility, a joint venture between Airbus and ST Engineering.

American Airlines has expressed a desire to see A380s back in the sky, and their representatives were quoted as saying, "We consider aviation as a family, and the A380 as a special aircraft."

Our platform will update this article as more news becomes available about the Airbus A380-800 with registration number 9H-MIP.
