Professor Nagato Reappointed as Vietnam's Honorary Consul in Aichi
Professor Natsume Nagato, a Japanese academic, has been reappointed as the Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Aichi Prefecture. The reappointment, effective for another three years, was announced by Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu during a ceremony in Tokyo.
Professor Nagato, a professor at Aichi Gakuin University, first took on the role in 2017. His renewed term reflects the Vietnamese government's trust and appreciation for his contributions to bilateral relations. In 2016, he was awarded the second-class Labour Order by the Vietnamese State President for his outstanding efforts in promoting ties between the two countries.
During his new term, Professor Nagato is expected to continue fostering multifaceted cooperation between Aichi and Vietnam. This includes supporting citizen protection and strengthening connections within the Vietnamese community in the region.
