Rastatt strengthens public safety leadership with three new experts in 2026

Rastatt’s Public Safety and Order Department has completed its leadership team with three experienced professionals. Arno Sackmann, Stephan Wenzel, and Dennis Quaid will jointly take charge from January 2026, bringing a mix of administrative, legal, and operational expertise to the role. Their appointments follow a structured recruitment process over the past year and a half. Dennis Quaid was the first to join, taking over as head of Legal Affairs and Central Procurement in August 2024. A qualified lawyer, he specialises in public economic, infrastructure, and environmental law. His legal background provides a strong foundation for the department’s regulatory work. The department now operates with a fully staffed leadership team, blending legal, regulatory, and operational strengths. Their roles will take full effect from January 2026, ensuring continuity and expertise in managing Rastatt’s public safety and order responsibilities. The city has not disclosed the names of the three additional senior colleagues joining them.
