Reckless Overtaking Maneuver Endangers Multiple Road Users
On Friday at around 9:50 p.m., a 46-year-old driver of an Audi A4 put not only himself but also other road users at risk with a dangerous overtaking maneuver on the L318 near Leutkirch in the Haselburg area. The Audi driver was traveling on the L318 from Isny toward Leutkirch when, at the height of Haselburg, he attempted to overtake despite oncoming traffic. A collision was only avoided because the 47-year-old female driver of a VW T-Cross in front of him and an unidentified oncoming driver braked sharply.
Witnesses to the incident—particularly the unidentified driver traveling from Leutkirch toward Isny who had to brake abruptly—are asked to contact the Leutkirch police station.
