Reinforcing industrial bonds between Dubai and China through CMIF Alliance

In a significant move to strengthen economic ties between Dubai and China, the Dubai Chambers and the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) have signed a strategic agreement. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formalised during a roundtable event in Beijing, attended by key players from sectors including automotive, construction, industrial machinery, and water purification.

The agreement aims to boost bilateral industrial cooperation and attract advanced technology companies from China to Dubai, in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33). Dubai Chambers will provide end-to-end support to CMIF member companies looking to establish operations in the emirate, helping them navigate the local market.

In return, the CMIF will help Dubai-based firms establish partnerships within mainland China, facilitating their entry into the Chinese market. The partnership focuses on sectors such as automotive, construction, industrial machinery, and water purification, with an emphasis on innovation-led industries like AI and robotics.

The collaboration includes cooperation on trade exhibitions, business missions, and data exchange initiatives to further strengthen economic ties between Dubai and China. The roundtable event emphasised Dubai’s focus on innovation-led industries and its commitment to positioning itself as a launchpad for Chinese manufacturers targeting regional and global markets.

Niansha Xu, Chairman of CMIF, and Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, were both present at the signing. The agreement reflects Dubai’s commitment to creating long-term growth opportunities and positioning itself as a global hub for business, particularly for Chinese manufacturers aiming to target regional and global markets.
