Repeat Offender Loses License, Motorcycle in DUI Case
A 42-year-old resident of Yemva, whose name remains private, has been convicted for driving under the influence (DUI) despite previous punishment for the same offence. The incident occurred on August 9, 2025, and was heard in the Knyazhpogostsky District Court of the Komi Republic. The man was found driving a Ural motorcycle at around 11 p.m., having consumed alcohol beforehand. Traffic police stopped him and confirmed his intoxication. The court subsequently disqualified him from driving any vehicle for two years and six months. Additionally, he was sentenced to 240 hours of compulsory labor. His Ural motorcycle was confiscated and forfeited to the state. The convicted man's disregard for the law, despite previous administrative punishment, has led to severe consequences. His driving privileges have been revoked, and he faces a significant period of community service. The Ural motorcycle he was driving has also been seized.
