Rijiju slams Rahul Gandhi’s electoral votes theft claims as baseless
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his recent claims of vote theft in Haryana and other states. Rijiju accused Gandhi of bringing back 'baseless narratives' from his international travels, wasting everyone's time.
Rijiju's comments come as Rahul Gandhi questioned the confidence displayed by Haryana Chief Minister Nawab Singh Saini ahead of the results. Gandhi claimed to have '100 per cent proof' of electoral votes theft orchestrated by the BJP in Haryana and other states.
Rijiju, who spoke publicly on 8th October 2024 about the alleged election fraud, dismissed Gandhi's claims. He asserted that the new generation stands firmly with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is not provoked by Gandhi's remarks. Rijiju also accused Gandhi of trying to defame the country through these false claims.
Rijiju referred to statements by Congress leaders Kumari Selja and a former Congress minister, who admitted that the Congress lost in Haryana due to internal issues. Rijiju suggested that Gandhi's press conference was an attempt to hide his failures and divert attention from the upcoming Bihar elections.
Rijiju's remarks highlight the ongoing political tension between the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress. While Gandhi insists on electoral votes theft, Rijiju maintains that the new generation supports the government and rejects Gandhi's claims.
