roclub Secures $11.7 Million Series A

Berlin-based medtech startup roclub has raised $11.7 million in Series A funding. The company, founded in 2022, specialises in a teleoperation platform for remote medical equipment control. Investors include leading European venture capital firms and angel backers.

The funding round was led by Smedvig Ventures, a European VC firm focused on early-stage tech, and YZR Capital, a Munich-based investor in healthcare innovation. Existing backer Speedinvest also participated, alongside Earlybird, Vorwerk Ventures, Project A, TechVision Fonds, and Better Ventures.

roclub was established by Dr. Matthias Issing and André Glardon to enable remote operation of diagnostic imaging devices. The platform currently serves major providers across 11 countries. The new capital will accelerate its U.S. expansion, enhance its teleoperation marketplace, and fund further AI-driven medtech development.

With fresh funding secured, roclub plans to grow its presence in North America while refining its technology. The investment will also support the company’s ongoing work in AI-assisted medical operations. Headquarters will remain in Berlin as expansion continues.
