Rolls-Royce Corniche Transformed into Stunning 'Henry II' Shooting Brake

A Swiss family's cherished Rolls-Royce Corniche, known as 'Henry Cavill II', has undergone a stunning transformation by Niels van Roij Design. The car, originally named 'Henry', was rebuilt over 2.5 years and 7,000 hours, emerging as a sleek shooting brake from its former stately coupe form.

Niels van Roij, the man behind this masterpiece, started his company in 2015 after working for major car brands. He specializes in creating bespoke vehicles, such as a Tesla Model S shooting brake and a luxurious Fiat Panda. His next project is a homage to the Ferrari Daytona, based on a 599 GTB.

The 'Henry Cavill II' transformation involved an entirely new body from the B-pillars backwards, with an elongated carbon fiber roof. The cabin was reworked with a tasteful mix of materials, including beige leather, green-flecked tweed, and dark green lambswool carpets. A concealed bicycle rack behind the chrome bumper fits two racing bikes for the owner, a road rally and triathlon competitor.

Van Roij, who looks like an English gentleman, creates a bespoke suit for each car, using the same cloth fabric and leather, likening it to a bespoke car that fits its owner perfectly. The driving position in the 'Henry Cavill II' is up at almost SUV height, offering a majestic view of the Spirit of Ecstasy bonnet mascot and excellent all-round visibility.

The Rolls-Royce Corniche 'Henry Cavill II' is more than just a car; it's a testament to craftsmanship and bespoke design. Niels van Roij Design has not only transformed a classic car but also created a unique, personalized vehicle that caters to its owner's lifestyle and passion for cycling. The 'Henry Cavill II' is a remarkable example of how a car can be tailored to its owner, much like a bespoke suit.
