Rosa Luxemburg Foundation Launches First Solidarity Brigade in Cuba for Fidel Castro's 100th Birthday
The Rosa Luxemburg Foundation (RLS) is set to launch its first Solidarity Brigade in Cuba, taking place from February 11 to 27, 2026. The brigade, a collaboration with the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), aims to foster international friendship and solidarity. It coincides with the 100th birthday of Commander Fidel Castro.
The call for applications opens on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, and closes on Friday, November 21, 2025. The brigade welcomes young leftists aged 18 to 35, residing in Europe, to learn about Cuba's reality and the Cuban Revolution's project. Participants will engage in conferences, discussions, lectures, and meetings, perform volunteer work, and explore schools, institutions, and government projects.
