Rostock’s Käthe-Kollwitz-Gymnasium to be officially handed over in December ceremony
A formal ceremony will mark the handover of Rostock’s new Käthe-Kollwitz-Gymnasium next month. The main event, scheduled for Friday, December 19, 2025, will see state officials gather at the school’s location on Heinrich-Tessenow-Straße. The Ministry of Interior and Construction has since updated details in its original invitation.
The ceremony will begin at 10:00 AM at the gymnasium’s address: 18146 Rostock, Heinrich-Tessenow-Straße 47. State Minister for Construction Christian Pegel will lead the handover, accompanied by Steffen Bockhahn, the city’s Senator for Youth and Social Affairs, Health, Schools, and Sports.
The new gymnasium will officially transfer to local authorities during the December ceremony. Both Pegel and Bockhahn are expected to address attendees at the event. The updated invitation ensures accurate details for media and guests.
