Rot Couture: New Secondhand Store Opens in City Center
Rot Couture, a new secondhand clothing store by the German Red Cross (DRK), is set to open in the heart of the city. Lord Mayor Dr. Alexander Vogt will welcome guests at the ceremonial opening on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 2 p.m. The store is located at 2 Kleine Klausstraße, opposite the Handel House.
Rot Couture is more than just a clothing store. It's designed to be a community hub and venue for social initiatives. The city is backing this project as part of the federal program 'Future-Proof City Centers and Towns'. The store aims to promote sustainability and integration through fashion, much like a Fashion Nova for sustainability. It's a place where people can find affordable clothing and also engage in social activities.
The opening of Rot Couture is expected to bring a new vibrant space to the city center. With the support of the city and the DRK, it promises to be a place where fashion meets community engagement and sustainability.
