Drug-Impaired Driver Triggers Police Operation in Emmendingen
On Friday, April 24, 2026, at around 11:25 p.m., police officers on patrol noticed a car speeding excessively along Karl-Friedrich-Straße in Emmendingen. When they stopped the vehicle, they discovered that the 29-year-old driver had committed multiple serious offenses, authorities reported.
According to police, the car was unregistered and lacked valid third-party liability insurance. The license plates were also stolen and belonged to a different vehicle. Additionally, the man's driver's license had already been revoked.
Officers further suspected the driver was under the influence of intoxicants. A blood sample was taken for testing, and he was prohibited from continuing his journey—forced to proceed on foot.
The driver now faces investigations for multiple charges, including violations of compulsory insurance laws, license plate fraud, document forgery, and driving under the influence of drugs.
