RSS volunteers gather in Indore for Foundation Day and Hindu New Year

A major gathering of senior RSS volunteers will take place in Indore on March 24. The event marks the Foundation Day of the Dr Hedgewar Smarak Samiti and coincides with the Hindu New Year. Organisers have planned a day of celebration and service exhibitions at Sudarshan Bhawan in Pant Vaidya Colony.

The Samiti has long been active in community welfare across Indore. Its initiatives include a physiotherapy centre in Harsiddhi and an acupressure therapy facility at the Rambagh Archana office. Educational support is also provided through the Sankalp programme, which offers coaching for PSC examinations in Palasia.

Throughout the year, the organisation runs health camps, yoga sessions, and blood donation drives. The upcoming event will showcase these projects in an exhibition. While large RSS gatherings are common in some regions, no fixed number of cities in India is officially recorded as hosting similar events for these occasions.

The March 24 gathering will highlight the Samiti's ongoing work in health, education, and community service. Attendees will learn about its various programmes through displays and discussions. The event reinforces the organisation's commitment to local development and cultural observance.
