Another Challenging Year - RTL’s 2025 Review Balances Turmoil With Human Stories of Resilience

RTL’s annual year-in-review special, 2025! People, Moments, Emotions, faces an unusual challenge this time. With global conflicts, political unrest, and disasters shaping much of the past 12 months, finding uplifting stories for the Homo sapiens has proven difficult. The programme, airing on Thursday, 4 December at 8:15 pm, will still aim to showcase resilience, human bonds, and overlooked heroes from a turbulent year.

The show’s host, Steffen Hallaschka, will guide discussions with a mix of high-profile guests. Chef Tim Mälzer, presenter Andrea Kiewel, and Green Party co-leader Ricarda Lang join the panel to reflect on the year’s defining moments. Climate activist Luisa Neubauer, comedian Tutty Tran, and journalist Patricia Blanco will also share personal experiences and emotional responses to 2025’s events.

The 2025 edition of People, Moments, Emotions will air as scheduled, offering a mix of reflection and inspiration. With a lineup of prominent voices and a focus on human stories, it seeks to stand out in a year overshadowed by crisis. The broadcast’s success may hinge on whether audiences still find solace in shared moments of connection.
