Russia accelerates repairs on over 730 kilometers of damaged roads
Road repair efforts are in full swing across Russia. Over 730 kilometers of regional roads have been damaged, with 21 kilometers currently undergoing final inspection. Meanwhile, 135.5 kilometers have been successfully repaired and accepted.
The state-owned company Avtodor has played a significant role in these repairs. They have completed work on 155 kilometers of damaged roads. Looking ahead, contracts for the repair of an additional 71.3 kilometers have been signed for 2026, with companies Mostotrest and Stroygazmontazh set to undertake this work.
Originally, repairs to 156.6 kilometers of deteriorated roads were scheduled for 2025. However, due to the extent of damage, extra funding from the federal budget will be used to restore remaining road sections.
In total, over 300 kilometers of road repairs are either completed, in progress, or scheduled. This includes the 135.5 kilometers already accepted, the 21 kilometers currently being inspected, and the 71.3 kilometers contracted for 2026. The use of extra funding ensures that all damaged roads will be restored.
