Russia Honors National Heroes at ‘Pride of the Nation – 2025’ Gala in Moscow
Moscow is currently hosting the 6th All-Russian Public Award 'Pride of the Nation – 2025'. The event, held at the State Academic Maly Theatre of Russia, is supported by various government bodies and organizations. It honours individuals and groups from 21 regions across the Russian Federation in seven categories, including contributions to national culture, language development, civic unity, and media support for state national policy.
The gala ceremony included a visit to the Museum of Victory and a guided tour of Poklonnaya Hill. Anatoly Ivanovich Kharkhardin, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War and Honorary Citizen of Krasnodar, addressed the laureates and attendees. He expressed his wish for a swift end to hostilities and the safe return of Russian servicemen.
In the 'One for All' category, established to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, two laureates were honoured from the Southern Federal District. Anna Ivanova received the award in 2025, while Anatoly Kharkhardin was honoured for his contributions in previous years.
The 'Pride of the Nation' award recognizes and celebrates the significant contributions of individuals and groups to the preservation and promotion of Russian culture, language, and unity. The ceremony serves as a reminder of the nation's rich history and the importance of collective effort in its continued success.
