Russian cities unite to bolster support for military veterans and families
A cooperation agreement between the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma and the Yekaterinburg City Duma was signed during the opening of the Cities of Russia forum. The event also included a meeting of the Council on Local Self-Government Development, where support for military veterans took centre stage.
Yevgeny Chintsov, Speaker of the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma, attended the session in Yekaterinburg. Chintsov also urged deputies to build personal connections with veterans in their districts to ensure direct support.
The discussions focused on practical steps to aid veterans and their families. The signed agreement and proposed initiatives aim to create structured support systems. Further details on specific programmes are expected as the plans develop.
