Russian Family Reunited After Months Apart in Housing Crisis

In Russia's Komi Republic, a family of four faced a temporary separation when their home was deemed unfit for habitation. The father and his three children spent three months apart, with the children staying in a shelter. Russia's Children's Rights Commissioner, Maria Lvova-Belova, has stepped in to assist the family in finding permanent housing.

The family's ordeal began when their home was deemed uninhabitable. The children were temporarily moved to a shelter while their father searched for a solution. After three months, authorities secured a room in a dormitory for the family to reunite. Following this, the family received official recognition as a large family and was granted the benefits they were entitled to. Maria Lvova-Belova, Russia's Children's Rights Commissioner, shared the news on social media and committed to supporting the family in finding permanent housing. While no specific organization or institution was mentioned, such support typically comes from local government agencies or non-profit organizations focused on housing and social welfare.

The family, now reunited, awaits a permanent housing solution with the support of Maria Lvova-Belova. The recognition as a large family has also granted them access to necessary benefits.
