Russian General Accused of Corruption Over Luxury Bike and Bribes

Ruslan Tsalikov

The motorcycle, a Honda Gold Wing, was gifted by Anton Abdurakhmanov, head of Bamstroiput. Instead of registering it under Tsalikov's name, the vehicle was placed in his son's ownership. This detail emerged alongside claims that Tsalikov pressured Vladimir Semenov, a beneficiary of the Military Construction Company, for a 50 million ruble payment.

The demanded sum was reportedly delivered to the Defence Ministry building. Despite the seriousness of the accusations, the Russian Ministry of Defence had not issued a public response by March 16, 2026. No disciplinary action has been announced against AO Voenno-Stroitelnaya Kompaniya or related entities. The case is part of broader anti-corruption efforts targeting military officials. While investigations into military corruption remain ongoing, no specific measures against the implicated structures have yet been confirmed.

The allegations against Tsalikov involve both high-value gifts and direct financial demands. As of now, no official reaction from the Defence Ministry has been made public. The outcome of the investigations could impact ongoing anti-corruption measures within Russia's military institutions.
