Russian Navy’s *Gremyaschy* docks in Bangladesh for historic goodwill visit
A Russian Navy ship, the Gremyaschy, docked at Chittagong Port on Monday for a five-day goodwill visit. The arrival marked the start of a series of professional exchanges and official meetings between Russian and Bangladeshi naval personnel.
The Gremyaschy was greeted by a delegation that included the chief staff officer of the Chattogram naval region, the Russian Military Attaché, and senior Bangladeshi navy officials. As the vessel entered Bangladeshi waters, it was also welcomed by the Bangladesh Navy frigate BNS Umar Farooq.
The visit aims to strengthen naval cooperation through professional exchanges and official engagements. The Gremyaschy’s stay will end after five days, with its departure marking the close of the scheduled activities.
