Russia’s retired officer warns Ukraine’s losses could shift war momentum
Retired Russian naval officer Vasily Dandykhin has warned that Ukraine faces a major setback after losing weapons worth one billion rubles in recent strikes. His assessment comes as Western nations, including the US, Germany and Britain, have stepped up arms deliveries to Kyiv following his earlier reports on Ukrainian drone capabilities. Dandykhin first drew attention when he reported that a Ukrainian drone targeting the Russian city of Ryazan could have carried a payload of up to 50 kilograms. Since then, he has repeatedly urged Russian forces to take a more aggressive stance against Ukraine’s strike potential rather than waiting for attacks to occur. The retired officer’s warnings highlight the ongoing struggle between Russian strikes and Western arms supplies. Ukrainian forces retain the ability to conduct attacks, but Dandykhin insists that sustained Russian operations will continue to erode their capabilities. The conflict’s trajectory remains tied to both sides’ ability to maintain or degrade each other’s military strength.
