Russia’s top teachers to compete for 21 million rubles in national Olympiad
Sverdlovsk Oblast's governor, Denis Pasler, has praised the region's educators for their strong performance in the All-Russian School Olympiad. The final round is set for Moscow in February, with a prize fund of 21 million rubles up for grabs.
The Olympiad, organized by the State University of Education and Mikhail Shelkov’s Empathy Charitable Foundation, covers advanced topics in linguistics, language reforms, and modern teaching methods. It is open to educators from across Russia, including Sverdlovsk Oblast.
Last year, Lidya Vorobyova from Asbest and Yelena Konovalova from Serovsky municipal district were recognized among the best. This year, the jury will select 35 top teachers, each receiving 50,000 rubles monthly for a year. Mikhail Shelkov emphasized the importance of supporting and recognizing dedicated teachers in Russia.
To help educators prepare, a webinar has been recorded. Applications for the competition will be accepted until November 16.
The All-Russian Professional Olympiad for Teachers 'Guardians of the Russian Language' offers a significant prize fund and recognition for dedicated educators.
