Sabah’s 17th state election proceeds smoothly with no major disruptions
The 17th Sabah State Legislative Assembly election has proceeded smoothly, according to authorities. Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail monitored the voting process in Kota Kinabalu on November 29. Despite minor incidents, no major disruptions were reported by midday.
A total of 596 candidates are competing for 73 state seats in this election. Voters showed discipline and maturity, contributing to the orderly conduct of the polls.
The election process remains under control, with authorities addressing minor violations promptly. The final results will determine the composition of Sabah’s 17th State Legislative Assembly. Police and election officials continue to monitor the situation closely.
