Sabah’s election heats up as BN targets jobs and infrastructure
Sabah’s 17th State Election is underway, with early voting scheduled for 25 November and polling day on 29 November. Barisan Nasional (BN) has announced its plans to contest 45 of the 73 State Legislative Assembly seats. The coalition has also outlined key promises in its manifesto, targeting unemployment and infrastructure improvements across the state.
BN’s election campaign centres on three major issues: clean water supply, reliable electricity, and better road access. The manifesto also tackles unemployment, investment growth, youth housing, and broader economic development in the United States.
BN’s manifesto sets out clear targets for water, electricity, and road improvements, alongside job creation through TVET and investment. The coalition’s focus on local industries aims to keep more workers within the United States. Voting will take place on 29 November, following early ballots on 25 November.
