Salzburg Economic Chamber slashes fees to ease burden on businesses
The Salzburg Economic Chamber has announced austerity measures following criticism over pay raises. The chamber president, Peter Buchmüller, aims to save three million euros through reforms, including a reduction in the Chamber Levy 2 for businesses. Meanwhile, the Neos party welcomes these changes and calls for the complete abolition of the Chamber Levy 2.
Buchmüller, who was re-elected as chairman with an overwhelming 95.04% of the vote, plans to cut the Chamber Levy 2 from 0.36% to 0.2%. This move comes in response to growing criticism and a desire to reduce burdens on businesses. The Neos party secretary-general, Douglas Hoyos, has praised these cost-cutting measures and called for other state chambers to follow suit and implement further reforms. The party sees the resignation of Harald Mahrer as an opportunity for a complete reset of the Economic Chamber, with Buchmüller's goal being to create the best possible conditions for companies.
The Salzburg Economic Chamber's austerity measures, including the reduction in the Chamber Levy 2, have been welcomed by the Neos party. With Buchmüller's re-election and commitment to saving three million euros, businesses can expect a more burden-free environment. The Neos party encourages other state chambers to follow this lead and implement further reforms.
