Among them is Sara Sievert, a 31-year-old political journalist whose career has moved swiftly through Germany's top newsrooms. Sievert began her journalism career with a traineeship at Focus after studying in Würzburg. She later worked there as an editor and senior political reporter. By fall 2022, she had joined Der Spiegel's Berlin bureau, quickly becoming T-Online's chief reporter within a year.
Since 2025, she has served as deputy section head and chief correspondent for Berlin Table at Table.Media. Known for her expertise on the CDU/CSU alliance, she also authored a biography of Friedrich Merz. Her advice to aspiring journalists is straightforward: seek out people for the best stories, but never compromise on accuracy.
The kress pro editorial team, including Christina Gruber, Roland Karle, and editor-in-chief Markus Wiegand, selected Sievert and other young media professionals for their annual list. The group reviewed executives and founders from media-related startups, focusing on those under 36.
