Satellite firm QuadSat secures €5 million investment to progress with Radio Frequency (RF) geolocation technology advancements
QuadSAT Secures €5 Million for Defense-Focused RF Technologies
QuadSAT, a Denmark-based aerospace and defense startup, has raised €5 million ($5.8 million) in an extension to its Series A funding round. This investment will accelerate QuadSAT's expansion into the defense industry, particularly in enhancing electronic warfare, RF geolocation, and spectrum intelligence capabilities for battlefield and satellite communication applications.
Based in Odense, Denmark, QuadSAT specializes in drone-mounted RF testing systems. Their technology can detect and locate RF emitters, including signal jamming devices, providing armed forces with real-time situational awareness and the ability to respond to electronic warfare threats in dynamic operational environments.
QuadSAT's technology is already in use by global satellite operators (e.g., SES, OneWeb) and is increasingly adopted by defense organizations across NATO member countries. The company's primary mission is to ensure spectrum assurance for military, space, and satellite operators.
The funding round was led by Join Capital and North Ventures, with participation from Seraphim Space Capital and Denmark's Export and Investment Fund (EIFO). This investment will enable QuadSAT to accelerate product development focused on defense applications, further commercialize their technology, and expand their presence in the defense sector, which is growing in importance due to increasing reliance on radio frequency communications in modern military operations.
QuadSAT's standout offering is its RF geolocation toolset, which is increasingly used to identify, locate, and analyze signals in contested environments. The company aims to modernize the way electronic warfare and satellite systems are tested.
With this new funding, QuadSAT is poised to play a critical role in securing communication integrity, interference management, and countering adversary jamming and electronic warfare systems. The company's growth and innovation in the defense sector are set to continue, ensuring that QuadSAT remains at the forefront of RF testing and geolocation technologies.
