Savannah Guthrie returns to Today Show amid mother's baffling disappearance

Savannah Guthrie, host of the Today Show, has returned to work after a two-month absence linked to her mother’s disappearance. Nancy Guthrie, 84, vanished from her Arizona home on February 1, leaving her family searching for answers. The case has taken unsettling turns, including ransom demands and suspicious activity captured on home security cameras. Nancy Guthrie was last seen on January 31, entering her home after dinner with her daughter and son-in-law. The following day, she was reported missing. Disturbing footage from a Nest doorbell camera later revealed an armed, masked figure tampering with the device outside her home on the night she disappeared.

The family has since received multiple ransom notes demanding Bitcoin in exchange for information about Nancy’s whereabouts. Authorities have stated there is no evidence connecting her disappearance to another incident in the neighbourhood on April 29, when a masked thief stole potted cacti from a front porch. That thief was recorded by a Ring doorbell camera driving a grey Ford F-150, but investigators have ruled out any link between the two cases. Savannah Guthrie, who had been in Arizona supporting the search efforts, returned to the *Today Show* this week. Colleagues and viewers welcomed her back with yellow ribbons and signs of support.

The investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance remains ongoing. Police continue to examine the ransom notes and security footage for leads. Meanwhile, the family has urged anyone with information to come forward as they seek answers about her whereabouts.
