Günther travels with delegation to Finland - Schleswig-Holstein strengthens Baltic ties amid Russia-Ukraine tensions
Schleswig-Holstein’s Minister-President Daniel Günther led a 40-strong delegation to Finland and Estonia in late 2023. The trip focused on boosting economic and security cooperation in the Baltic Sea region. It came as tensions remained high following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The delegation included ministers, state lawmakers, and business leaders. Their agenda covered digitalisation, energy, security, and environmental protection.
The trip aimed to deepen ties between Schleswig-Holstein and the two Baltic nations. Strengthening partnerships in energy, security, and digital innovation was a key priority. The visit also highlighted ongoing efforts to stabilise the regions affected by the Russia-Ukraine war.
