Schneverdingen’s Youth Council postpones major financial decisions to 2026
Schneneverdingen’s Youth Council has delayed key decisions on financial support and restructuring until 2026. The group recently discussed reviving the long-dormant 'Partybus' initiative while also planning for the renovation of the FZB youth centre. Meanwhile, changes to youth services are already underway, with Generation Z now running local programmes.
The FZB (Youth and Community Center) in Schneverdingen is scheduled to reopen in spring 2026 after renovations. Until then, the facility will stay in its temporary location on Kirchstraße. Demolition work at the interim site is set to begin, with €15,000 allocated to clear the YMCA building by 2026. An additional €1,500 will cover maintenance for the new spaces that year, with funding rising to €3,000 in later plans.
The Youth Council’s delayed decisions mean financial commitments and restructuring plans will wait until 2026. The FZB renovation remains on track for completion that spring, though oversight details are still unresolved. In the meantime, expanded youth services and extended club hours are already serving more young people in the area.
