School Board Approves Line Painting for Reeceville Playground, Total Cost $3.17M
The school board has approved a change order for the Reeceville Elementary School expansion project, adding line painting to the math playground at a cost of $7,665. This brings the total project cost to $3.17 million. The board will reconvene on Oct. 28.
The Operations Committee recommended the addition of line painting to the math playground, which will include markings for games like hopscotch. The district is proceeding with other construction projects, including the building of the new Doe Run Elementary School. The board has also approved the 2026-27 budget planning calendar, with a decision on tax increases beyond the adjusted Act 1 index of 4.5% scheduled for Jan. 27. The decision on painting the district logo on the math playground will be made at a later date, with a preliminary budget to be adopted on April 28 and the final budget on June 9.
