School No. 6 celebrates 60 years with awards and student triumphs
School No. 6 in Novoasbest marked its 60th anniversary with a grand celebration in its newly renovated building and modern stadium. The event honoured dedicated educators and recognised the achievements of one of its students, Varvara Bezborodova, who triumphed in a national contest.
The jubilee of School No. 6 brought together current faculty, veteran educators, alumni, and parents. Among those honoured were Lyubov Kamayeva and Nadezhda Vakhrusheva, who received the Gornouralsky Municipal District’s badge For Loyalty to the Teaching Profession. Many teachers and staff were awarded certificates of merit and letters of appreciation for their dedicated service.
Meanwhile, Varvara Bezborodova, a student from the town of ZATO Svobodny, made her school and town proud by winning second place in the Bolshaya Peremena All-Russian Contest. She received a 100,000 ruble prize. Alexander Ivanov, head of ZATO Svobodny, congratulated Varvara on her remarkable achievement. The final round of the contest took place at the Artek International Children’s Center.
In other news, construction of an indoor ice rink with artificial ice is underway in Verkhnyaya Tura. The foundation slab for the rink, which will house heating and cooling systems, is currently being poured.
