Haug’s re-election came alongside the appointment of Sonja Flemm and Marc Westkämper as deputy chairs. Flemm received 96% of the vote, while Westkämper gained 80.8%. Their positions strengthen the party’s leadership team, which includes figures like Tim Kurzbach as mayor and Thomas Eiskirch as chairman.
The CDU in Solingen now moves ahead with a clear agenda under Haug’s leadership. The newly elected deputies and council members will work together to implement the Mission Future plan.
