Shinde's Schemes Discontinued as Maharashtra Politics Shifts
The Anandacha Sidha scheme, which provided snacks during festivals, has been discontinued in Maharashtra. This decision comes amidst a political landscape marked by shifting alliances and unfulfilled promises. DCM Eknath Shinde recently met Union Minister Amit Shah to discuss ignored appointments, but many promises remain unmet.
Shinde, who played a key role in toppling the Uddhav Thackeray government, now finds his party's appointments in Raigad and Nasik districts pending. Meanwhile, DCM Ajit Pawar and his NCP ministers enjoy preference in the current government, despite Shiv Sena MLAs and Shinde taking risks to bring about the change.
Eight welfare schemes initiated by erstwhile CM Shinde have been shut down due to paucity of funds. These include My Beautiful School, crop insurance at one rupee, Dear Brother internship program, one state one uniform, cleanliness monitor, Yojana Doot, and the chief minister religious and spiritual places visit program. The BJP and Shiv Sena, despite sharing an ideology, seem to be drifting apart, with the 'Hindutva glue' failing to hold them together.
The discontinuation of Shinde's schemes and the pending appointments have drawn criticism from Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danave. He has slammed CM Fadnavis for shutting down these initiatives while praising the 'bullet train'. The political scene in Maharashtra continues to evolve, with alliances and policies shifting rapidly.
