Businesswoman Shital Tejwani, recently arrested in a high-profile land deal case, is also locked in a long-running legal battle with Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor. The dispute centres on an early eviction from a luxury flat in Pune’s Trump Towers, with a court hearing set for January 2026.

Tejwani first sued Kapoor in 2018, demanding Rs 50.40 lakh in unpaid rent and damages for the apartment. The case remains unresolved, with the next hearing scheduled for January 5, 2026.

Meanwhile, Tejwani’s legal troubles have deepened. On December 3, 2025, she was arrested in connection with the Mundhwa land deal scandal. Authorities allege she sold a 40-acre land parcel to a company linked to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s son and Digvijay Patil’s firm, Amadea Enterprises LLP. As the holder of the power of attorney in the deal, she was remanded in police custody until December 11, 2025.

The upcoming court date will address the financial dispute between Tejwani and Kapoor over the Pune flat. Separately, her arrest in the land deal case adds another layer to her ongoing legal challenges. Both matters remain under judicial review.
