Shymkent and Abai Region strengthen cultural bonds through joint events

A delegation led by Shymkent’s First Deputy Mayor Aydyn Karimov has arrived in Abai Region for a series of cultural events. The group, which includes regional veterans, artists, and cultural officials, took part in key ceremonies and performances as part of the ongoing Cultural Days programme.

The visit began with a trip to the Abai House-Museum, where delegates paid their respects at the Abai-Shakarim mausoleum. Earlier, a separate delegation from Abai Region had travelled to Shymkent, where the Abai Theater staged a production of Enlik-Kebek.

The delegation’s visit highlights ongoing cultural ties between Shymkent and Abai Region. The events, including theatre performances, literary discussions, and traditional tournaments, mark the conclusion of the Cultural Days programme in the area.
