Six Bangladesh police trainees dismissed before completing basic training
Six trainee Assistant Superintendents of Police have been dismissed from service before completing their basic training. The decision was made by Bangladesh Police authorities, affecting officers from the 41st Bangladesh Civil Service (police) cadre. Their removal took place during the probationary period at Sardah Police Academy in Rajshahi.
The officers—Md Delwar Hossain, Mahmudul Haque, Md Ishak Hossain, Md Mashiur Rahman, Muhammad Rakib Anwar, and Sayed Karim Mugdha—were part of the 41st BCS (police) batch. Their dismissal came before they finished the mandatory year-long training programme.
The action was taken under Rule 6(2)(a) of the Bangladesh Civil Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1981. This regulation allows authorities to remove officers during probation if they fail to meet required standards. The decision was finalised by the Bangladesh Police leadership.
The six officers will no longer serve in the police force. Their removal follows a review during the probationary phase at Sardah Police Academy. The government has not provided further details on the specific reasons for their dismissal.
