Six Injured in House Fire - Six injured as apartment fire in Nienburg leaves building uninhabitable
A fire broke out in an apartment in the Nienburg district on 14 December 2025. Six residents, including three children, were injured in the blaze. The cause of the incident remains unknown at this time.
Emergency services arrived to find flames spreading through the first floor and attic. Around 90 personnel were sent to tackle the fire. It took firefighters roughly five hours to fully extinguish the last hotspots.
Five residents, including three children, suffered severe smoke inhalation and were rushed to hospital. A sixth person received medical treatment at the scene. Despite the intensity of the fire, all occupants managed to evacuate the building without assistance.
The property has been declared uninhabitable following the blaze. Authorities have not yet released details on what started the fire. Investigations into the incident are expected to continue.
