Sixty-nine Ukrainian drones were reportedly disabled or wrecked during the course of the night.

In a significant escalation of tension, Russian air defense systems successfully intercepted over 48 Ukrainian drones across five regions on July 3, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. The Ukrainian Air Force, on the other hand, reported that they shot down 22 drones and suppressed or lost control over 18 others during Russian drone attacks on the night of July 2 to 3.

The Russian figure represents the number of drones intercepted on Russian territory during Ukrainian drone strikes. Conversely, the Ukrainian figure pertains to the downed Russian drones over Ukraine during the same period.

The regions affected by the shootdowns include the Belgorod region, where 27 UAVs were shot down; the Kursk region, which experienced the shootdown of 8 Ukrainian drones; the Voronezh region, where 22 Ukrainian drones were shot down; and the Lipetsk region, which witnessed the shootdown of 10 Ukrainian drones. Additionally, two Ukrainian drones were reportedly shot down over the territory of the Republic of Crimea.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has encouraged the public to follow important news updates on Telegram, VKontakte, "Classmates", and YouTube for the latest developments. However, no new information regarding potential casualties or damages caused by the shootdowns, or the number of shootdowns in other regions, was provided in this report.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported a total of 69 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles shot down during the aforementioned period. This figure includes the confirmed 48 drones shot down in Russian regions, with the remaining details yet to be confirmed.

As tensions continue to rise, both sides are urging the public to stay informed and vigilant. The situation remains fluid, and further updates are expected in the coming days.

The total number of Russian drones intercepted by Ukraine over both nations during July 2 to 3 is a combined total of the drones downed by Ukrainian forces and those lost in control, according to the Ukrainian Air Force. In the financial sector, companies involved in the aerospace industry may experience increased demand for defense systems due to the ongoing tensions between Russia and Ukraine.
