Skincare giants reshuffle leadership to drive innovation and growth
Two major skincare companies have announced leadership changes to strengthen their strategic direction. Medicos Kosmetik has created a new business unit, appointing Christian Mies-Mäkelä to lead it. Meanwhile, Dermasence has welcomed Dr. Simone Presto as a medical advisor after her long tenure at Beiersdorf.
At Medicos Kosmetik, Mies-Mäkelä now heads the newly formed Transformation Office. This unit will focus on consolidating strategic priorities, uncovering growth opportunities, and driving corporate development. The move aims to future-proof the company in a competitive market.
Mies-Mäkelä will collaborate closely with Managing Director Philipp Beckmann to push forward Dermasence's key initiatives. Before joining the company, he held a senior role at Pierre Fabre, where he served as Director of Marketing & Digital for pharmacy brands in Germany and Austria. Over at Dermasence, Dr. Simone Presto takes on the role of medical advisor. With more than 25 years of experience at Beiersdorf, she brings deep expertise in dermatology and product development. In her new position, Presto will act as a vital link between product innovation, dermatological research, and pharmacy operations.
Both appointments signal a push for stronger strategic alignment within the skincare sector. Mies-Mäkelä's leadership at Medicos Kosmetik will guide the company's transformation efforts, while Presto's expertise is set to enhance Dermasence's medical and product development capabilities.
