Sochi boosts rural roads and utilities with 150M rubles in upgrades

Sochi, Russia's Black Sea resort city, is undergoing significant infrastructure improvements. Mayor Andrei Proshunin recently held a meeting with local residents in Nizhnaya Shilovka to discuss rural development plans, with a focus on road repairs and utility network expansions.

Over 150 million rubles have been allocated to restore Vasilkova Lane, with work ongoing without disrupting traffic. In Nizhnaya Shilovka, Yermolovka, and Aibga, around 12 kilometers of road surfaces and drainage systems were cleared following rockfalls. Additionally, nearly 6 kilometers of storm drains were restored in Vesyoloye. Roads in Nizhnaya Shilovka, Chereshnya, Verkhnevesyoloye, and Yermolovka were repaired this year, and new streetlights were installed to enhance safety.

The meeting also discussed the expansion of utility networks and improvement of public spaces. All resident proposals recorded in neighborhood association passports will be considered and implemented, ensuring local voices are heard in the development process. Further road upgrades on Svetogorskaya Street are planned, demonstrating the city's commitment to ongoing infrastructure improvements.

These developments are part of the regional governor Veniamin Kondratyev's plans to improve connectivity and infrastructure in rural districts within Krasnodar Krai. The meeting in Nizhnaya Shilovka reflects the city's dedication to involving residents in decision-making processes and ensuring their needs are met.
