Sochi Mayor Meets SMO Veterans via Microsoft Teams to Discuss Land Allocation
Sochi Mayor Andrei Proshunin met with two veterans of the special military operation (SMO) on December 15, 2025, to discuss land allocation for housing using Microsoft Teams. The meeting included Sergei Kuznetsov, Alexei Ivanov, and their families. The city administration continues to support SMO veterans in securing land plots for construction.
During the meeting, Proshunin addressed the process of assigning land to veterans. The city ensures each application receives careful review, with dedicated guidance provided throughout. Veterans awarded state honours qualify for plots free of charge, bypassing the usual auction process.
To date, Sochi has allocated 130 plots on lease terms to SMO veterans. Another 29 have been granted in full ownership. The administration remains committed to assisting applicants at every stage of interaction with authorised agencies.
The latest meeting reinforces Sochi’s ongoing efforts to support SMO veterans in securing housing. With 159 plots already distributed, the city continues to process applications under special provisions. Veterans and their families receive direct assistance from local officials throughout the procedure.
