Sochi’s Young Guard and lawmakers unite to empower local youth activism

A recent meeting in Sochi brought together regional lawmaker Viktor Teplyakov and the new leadership of the city’s Young Guard, the youth wing of United Russia. The discussion focused on strengthening ties with local young activists and shaping future projects. Tatyana Romanova, the newly elected chair of Sochi’s Young Guard branch, also attended as a key participant.

Viktor Teplyakov, a deputy in the Krasnodar regional parliament, met with Sochi’s Young Guard leaders to explore ways of engaging the city’s youth. He stressed the need for clear, productive cooperation with active young residents. The group aimed to ensure young people’s voices are heard in the city’s development plans.

The meeting resulted in concrete steps to organise Sochi’s Young Guard more effectively. Activists will now focus on district-based work to engage local youth. The plan aims to help young residents contribute to the city’s growth through structured participation.
