Solingen’s CDU re-elects leadership with unanimous support for continuity
The CDU parliamentary team in Solingen has re-elected its leadership for the coming years. On 14 June 2023, Carsten Voigt was unanimously confirmed as chairman of the faction. The group also reaffirmed its commitment to addressing key challenges facing the city.
Daniel Flemm was first chosen to lead the CDU parliamentary team back in November 2020. This month, he was re-elected unanimously as chair, a decision he described as proof of strong trust and teamwork within the team. His deputies, Torsten Küster and Simone Lammert, were also confirmed in their roles.
The leadership team includes Sebastian Haug and Martin, who remain part of the team’s core structure. Together, they aim to guide the team through pressing issues in the years ahead. Carsten Voigt, who serves as chairman of the CDU team in Solingen’s city council, was also re-elected without opposition on the same day. His continued leadership reflects the team’s stability and focus on local priorities.
The re-election of Flemm, Voigt, and their deputies signals continuity within the CDU’s local leadership. The team now turns its attention to the city’s upcoming challenges, with a team that has worked together for several years. All decisions were made by unanimous vote, indicating broad support within the group.
