There are group of people holding placards and walking. These are the trees. I can see small bushes. This is the banner. I can see a building with name boards attached to it. These look like cars. I think these are the current polls.

Solingen’s Civic Group Demands Term Limits to Curb Political Entrenchment

The Citizens’ Community for Solingen (BCS) is pushing for major changes to local governance in North Rhine-Westphalia. The group wants a two-term limit for senior mayors and stricter rules to improve transparency. Their demands follow concerns about growing opacity in political decision-making during extended leadership periods. BCS argues that senior mayors in NRW often become too entrenched after a second term. According to the group, prolonged tenure leads to unclear lobbying ties and a lack of accountability. They point to recent cases, such as the 19,000 euros donated to Solingen’s SPD, as examples of questionable financial influence. The proposed changes require approval from the NRW state parliament. If implemented, they would cap mayoral terms and reintroduce oversight mechanisms. BCS maintains that these steps are necessary to prevent backroom deals and restore clarity in local government.
